“We can inspire others to take a collective action on
the root causes of the most compelling issues to make
a lasting change in community conditions, thus improving
people’s lives.”
Julie Martineau, President of MCUW

Montgomery County United Way partners with organizations that share our view that the way to improve lives is by mobilizing the caring power of communities. Our partners know that what we are judged on is results: the tangible and quantifiable impact we make day after day.

To become a Montgomery County United Way Funded Partner, an organization must fulfill exacting financial and service guidelines. See Principals of Operation.  Funded Partners and Grantees are required to adhere to the Fundraising Blackout Policy and the Co-Branding Policy.

At MCUW, our work starts with identifying the needs of our community (Community Priorities Report, Community Report Card).

Through forming Community Impact Councils and creating Impact Principals of Operation, we seek long term solutions through a Strategic Investment process.
