About Us

Montgomery County United Way impacts the community by strategically focusing resources in order to achieve the greatest long range impact.  A Strategic Plan for focusing resources was created from the Community Priorities Report and the Community Report Card.  Through the mission of the organization:  “To improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities”, Montgomery County United Way works in a number of different capacities to assist Montgomery County citizens:

• By working from the priority needs of Montgomery County, MCUW can concentrate on Funding programs that make the greatest impact.
• By funding internal initiatives like Success By 6, Hispanic Outreach, Women’s Leadership Council, Days of Caring and Information & Referral, MCUW strives to complement the work performed by our Funded Partners.
• Involves community representation to serve on committees to find long range solutions.
• Serve in a capacity building role in Disaster Response and Recovery.
