Montgomery County United Way (MCUW) initiated the Days of Caring program in 2001 and since then MCUW has continued to connect volunteers, both groups and individuals, to those in need in Montgomery County.

Using our relationships with both individuals and groups (such as corporations, faith based and civic organizations), MCUW matches volunteers with projects that fit their skills and interests.

Days of Caring benefit:

  • MCUW Funded Partner Agencies
  • Local Non-profit agencies and organizations
  • Families in Need of Assistance
  • Children
  • Elderly
  • Individuals with Disabilities

Days of Caring Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Making Home Repairs
  • Landscaping or Gardening
  • Assisting with Holiday Giving
  • Collecting Items for a Drive (food, books, clothing, toys, school supplies)

For more information, contact Summer Darnell at summer@mcuw.org or call 281-292-4155, ext. 213
