Community-level goal: In Montgomery County, by 2020, increase the percentage of students who enroll in post-secondary education and/or job training after completing high school or equivalent.

Financial Independence Impact Council
Community-level goal: In Montgomery County, reduce the rate of financially unstable* households by a minimum of 20% by 2020.  *Financially unstable spending more than 35% of total household income on housing costs

Keep It: Income Supports; Manageable Expenses; Safe, Affordable Rental Housing
Grow It: Savings & Assets; Safe, Affordable Home Ownership
Health & Wellness Impact Council
Community-level goal: Increase the number of residents in Montgomery County living at a healthy weight by 10% by 2020.
Access and Utilization of Healthcare
o Promote the means by which everyone can lead a healthier life
o Activate healthcare providers to increase health literacy
Healthy Eating and Physical Activity
o Focus on schools as the heart of health
o Activate employers to support workplace wellness
o Healthy foods
o Integrate physical activity opportunities into all aspects of community life
Mental Health and Substance Abuse
o Treatment programs as well as prevention programs
o Support for families impacted by mental health and substance abuse
Integrated Collaboration Committee
Fostering and supporting partnerships among agencies in the community whose collective impact does more to improve the lives of Montgomery County residents by combining their supportive efforts.
Accountability Review Committee:
This committee meets in association with the Strategic Investment funding cycle to oversee financial review of the MCUW  Strategic Investment applications for revenue and on an as-needed basis throughout the year. This committee reports directly to the Community Impact Committee with its recommendations or reports.
