Roz Dauzat, Vice chair - was born in Houston and grew up in a military family, moving a number of times across the United States. She ultimately graduated from Killeen High School at Fort Hood in central Texas. Roz completed a Bachelor of Science in Geology at Texas A& I in Kingsville and worked for a major oil company. She returned to college to complete a Master of Business Administration at University of Houston and joined NationsBank (now BankAmerica) in downtown Houston. As Vice President she specialized in lending to middle market companies, hospitals and large churches in the Houston and southeast Texas area. Roz became a Financial Adviser with Edward Jones in 1996 and worked with high net worth clients as well as retirement plans and insurance for local companies. She recently retired to spend more time with her family. Roz has served in various board positions including President of the Rotary Club of Conroe, President of the Lake Conroe Area Republican Women, President of the April Sound Civic Association, and Treasurer of Child Advocates of Montgomery County. Roz has been married for 31 years to her high school sweetheart, Rick.

Bob Evans, Secretary/Treasurer - born and raised in Toronto, Canada. After completing a B.A.Sc degree at the University of Toronto in 1972, Bob accepted a position with Mobil Oil in Calgary. Now retired, he spent 37 years with Mobil and ExxonMobil in various technical and management positions in Canada, USA, Libya and Indonesia. Bob moved to Montgomery County in 2005 and has volunteered with MCUW since 2007. In addition to the Executive Committee, Bob chairs the Finance Committee and participates on the Strategic Planning, Strategic Investment and Community Impact Committees.

Dr. Austin A. Lane, Chair, 2011 Campaign - was appointed as the third president of Lone Star College-Montgomery on July 20. As president, he leads one of the fastest growing institutions in the State of Texas and the nation. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Lane graduated from Hackensack High School and attended Odessa Junior College in West Texas on a basketball scholarship. He holds a B.A. in psychology from Langston University, M.A. in human relations from The University of Oklahoma, and Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in higher education administration from The University of Alabama. Lauded as an innovator and visionary leader, Dr. Lane's career in higher education is marked by a variety of successive leadership roles and professional achievements, affording him experience in virtually every aspect of administration and teaching. Dr. Lane served as vice president for student affairs at Tyler Junior College and was responsible for directing a college-wide strategic enrollment management team that posted the largest enrollment in the school's history. He also planned, developed, and oversaw several construction projects that were designed to enhance the academic and student service reputation of the college. He served as the dean of students at The University of Texas at Arlington and was instrumental in planning and overseeing several student success initiatives that were designed to increase enrollment and retention. Dr. Lane has also served as an adjunct professor in the College of Education at The University of Texas at Arlington, adjunct professor in the Behavioral and Social Sciences department at Tarrant County College-Southeast Campus, and has served as an on-site reviewer for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). He has also conducted extensive research on traditional-age, low-income, African-American and Hispanic students in the State of Texas and has published research that focuses on access to higher education, affordability, need-based vs. merit-based aid, college persistence, and student success. Dr. Lane is also active in the community and serves on the Amegy' Bank Advisory Board, United Way Board, South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater Conroe Economic Development Council, and Education for Tomorrow Alliance board of directors. Dr. Lane is married to Angela Laneand they have two children, LaureN and Chase.

E. Chip Ray, Chair, 2012 Capaign – Corporate Planning for CB&I. Mr. Ray has 29 years of experience in strategic planning, international marketing, technical sales, operations and management. In his current role, he is responsible for Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Investments, Communications, Shareholder Relations and Governmental Affairs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. John’s University in Minnesota and an MBA from Duke University. Mr. Ray resides in The Woodlands, Texas with his wife Brenda. They have three sons.

Michael Daniel, Board member, has served on the United Way Board for the past four years. His professional career has been in education for the past thirty years. Currently, he is the Director of Human Resources for Magnolia ISD. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana and a Master’s of Science degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake. Mr. Daniel has been married to his wife, Sandra, for thirty four years. They have two daughters. He is also active in his church and in the community.
